There is, I mean to show by this example, bound to be liminality about spatiality itself because we are inexorably situated in all three frameworks simultaneously, though not necessarily equally so. We may end up, often without noticing it, favoring one or another definition through our practical actions.
In an absolutist mode, I will do one thing and reach one set of conclusions; in a relative mode, I’ll construct my interpretations differently and do something else; and if everything looks different through relational filters then I will conduct myself in a quiet different way. What we do as well as what we understand is integrally dependent upon the primary spatiotemporal frame within which we situate ourselves.
