Manga in Theory and Practice: the craft of creating manga Book
Beneath those notes, I wrote ideas for Josuke’s “soap bubble” Stand. In the upper right, where I wrote: “screw, bolt” were ideas for Joshu’s Stand, although it doesn’t appear at this time in the story. The part at the bottom where I wrote “Yasuho comments” are noted on how the chapter will conclude.
I bring these notes with me to the meeting, and as I talk with my editor, I revise and add to them. Additions come through our exchange of ideas, and if something seems weak, I’ll rework the idea, which may result in needing to perform additional research.
The results of the meeting determine whether or not I’m able to immediately proceed to the next step of my process. If I can’t find suitable ideas during the meeting, our discussion will eventually reach a standstill, and I won’t be able to move on to the next step.
